The Keystation mini weighs less than half a Kg and still manages to have velocity sensitive keys. It is USB powered and can even run off an iPad with the proper connection kit. The fact that you are spread over more than 2 octaves means moving up and down though chord progressions snt a nightmare like on more limited small keyboards.

You also have a super handy single volume knob, which can be assigned to whatever you want so you can have a volume knob, a pan knob, a reverb send knob and much more.
Portability
With the ability to run just off USB means you can go and play wherever your laptop will take you. Simply plug in and play with your mac or PC. Also plays nicely with the IOS connectivity so you can play your favourite iPad synths just by using a Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit (sold separately).
