The Vandoren Optimum Ligature is based on the traditional metal screw ligature, but without clamping the reed. It therefore allows the reed to vibrate without interference, improving tone and control. The Optimum features a single screw which not only makes it quick and easy to attach but, thanks to its clever double-track design, it tightens both sides of the ligature evenly to ensure a stable fit without restricting the reed. The really special thing about the Vandoren Optimum though, is that it comes with three different plates which can be swapped in the ligature to produce three quite distinct tones, making this ligature really versatile and suitable for all musical styles and situations. The Vandoren Optimum ligature is supplied with a Vandoren branded plastic mouthpiece cap. The LC07P is suitable for most rubber Alto Sax mouthpieces. Usually despatched within 2-4 working days.
