The Raging 50B features options that are crucial to stage and studio uses, like dedicated inputs for active and passive bass guitars, a parallel effect loop with a dedicated mix control (so that you can insert your favorite octave or chorus effect, for example) and a phones/line output, placed at the front of the amp for easy access.
The Aural Enhancer potentiometer allows you to instantly control the Mid and High overtone enhancing circuitry. Simply turn it to scan the frequencies and stop when you hear the desired result: enhancement of fingers or pick attacks, thumb thumping and fret sounds for slap, low-mid reinforcement when playing in a trio, enhanced presence of the fingerboard sound for fretless basses, etc... Its uses are numerous and each time they allow you to add a significant boost of expressivity without interfering with the initially defined Bass-Mid-High settings.
The built-in limiter is an extremely reactive circuit that works finely to optimize the amp's power output while protecting at all times the loudspeaker from unwanted peaks. This circuit ensures a faithful restitution of the dynamics of your playing.
